Academy of Reading®
Academy of Reading® is a computer-based remediation tool for grades K-12 designed specifically to help low-level readers acquire the skills they need to become proficient readers. Module components address phonemic awareness, reading sub-skills and comprehension.

Accelerated Reader
Accelerated Reader is a STAR Reading Computer Adaptive Test and Database designed to help access, monitor, manage and motivate reading practice. The product combines specialized teaching methods and computer instruction to maximize student growth.

Breakthrough to LiteracyTM
Breakthrough to LiteracyTMis interactive software and staff development product for individualized reading instruction.

Carbo Reading Styles (CRS)
CRS focuses on a child's learning style as a basis for teaching reading and comprehension techniques to children. In this program, themes, activities and literature are used to help improve a students overall academic performance.

Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC)
CIRC fosters collaboration and group activities as a means to improve student achievement in reading, writing and comprehension.

Exemplary Center for Reading Instruction (ECRI)
ECRI is an instructional program devised to improve a students' ability to read, write and communicate in the English language. Focused on a structured, teacher-directed approach, the program is intended to compliment rather than replace existing curricula, and provides teachers with the framework to establish high levels of skill mastery for students.

Failure Free Reading
Failure Free Reading is a program designed to assist students at-risk for reading failure, non-readers, ESL and those with severe learning difficulties.

Fast ForWord®
Fast ForWord is a training program that helps children build oral language comprehension and other learning skills. The program is CD-ROM internet-based product.

Four Blocks
Four Blocks is a teaching framework for use in a heterogeneous classroom setting, and allows students to participate in special programs like Reading Recovery.

HOSTS (Help One Student To Succeed)
Hosts is a one-on-one academic mentoring program in language arts to help low-achieving students improve reading, writing and problem-solving skills.

Invitations to LiteracyTM
Invitations to Literacy is a K-6 classroom program with an integrated approach to reading and language arts. Instruction is offered through individual & small group projects, as well as through collaboration with Resource, Title I, Special Education and ESL classrooms.

Literacy Collaborative
The Literacy Collaborative is a classroom based program designed to increase literacy achievement for all students. The Literacy Collaborative program helps schools meet this goal by providing a literacy framework that connects reading and writing, and by training a building level literacy coordinator. Reading Recovery must be available in Literacy Collaborative schools to provide a safety net for at-risk children. The program is based on the findings of A study group from the Reading Recovery Teachers of the Columbus Public School District and Ohio State University.

Open Court
Open Court is a commercially published approach to help students learn to read with emphasis on phonemic awareness, instruction, literature and other language arts materials.

Reading One-to-One (ROTO)
ROTO is a program designed to improve the reading performance of at-risk students, particularly low-income, minority and second-language learners, and builds on some of the elements of Reading Recovery and Success for All.

Reading Recovery
Reading Recovery is a short-term tutoring solution for the lowest-achieving 1st graders, and addresses the complex set of concepts that make reading and writing possible for these students.

Seeing Stars (Lindamood-Bell)
This is an integrated reading and spelling program which helps stabilize phonemic awareness and; Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing Program (Lips) stimulates phonemic awareness through a correlation between mouth movements and the speech sounds they produce.

Slingerland Approach
The Slingerland Approach is based on Orton-Gillingham techniques. All learning takes place through the involvement of the auditory, visual and kinesthetic motor channels. The Slingerland Approach starts with the smallest unit of sight, sound and feeling - a single letter. Expanding upon that single unit students are taught through an approach which strengthens inner-sensory association and enables the strong channel of learning to reinforce the weak.

Soar to Success
Soar to Success is a commercially published intervention program to help below average readers (grade 3 and up) increase their skills through specialized instruction.

SuccessMaker®
SuccessMaker® is a literature based computer reading program that focuses on student comprehension, vocabulary, phonics and writing. The curriculum challenges students to apply knowledge from literature, content-area reading and interdisciplinary thematic units. The courseware provides an integrated approach reading and writing instruction.

Success for All (SFA)
Success for All is a program designed for use in Title I urban elementary schools serving at-risk students.

Voyager Expanded LearningTM
Voyager is a hands-on, activity-based learning experience based on academic themes formulated to pique children's interest and motivation to learn, as well as improve performance. Voyager is after school and summer school program for K-8 grade students.

Waterford Early Reading Program
Waterford Early Reading Program combines individualized instruction with classroom instruction and enables teachers to analyze the diverse needs of students and offer appropriate intervention.

Wilson Reading System (WRS)
WRS instruction is a multi-sensory, sequential and cumulative, diagnostic program. Teaching plans are based on a continual assessment of a students needs. This system helps students master decoding and spelling in an structured and integrated process, and has been used successfully with students who have had difficulty learning to decode or spell through traditional basal, whole language or phonics programs.
